Designing your Dream Garden…
The design process is an essential starting to point in the development of any garden. For us it’s an inclusive process where we listen and absorb what our clients want to achieve from their plot which we are then able to incorporate using our experience into something achievable, functional and beautiful.
Following the initial visit to assess the project and ensure we have all the information we need then a design brief will be agreed. All fees will be confirmed in writing once we have this information.
Our designs are hand drawn and the result of sufficient visits to the garden in order to fully survey and understand it’s setting within both the context of the property and the surrounding landscape. We consider all aspects of planning issues, boundaries and external influences on the garden and ensure that any proposed installations will not affect drainage or services across the land.
Once we have agreed on a final layout for the garden we will produce any construction drawings and a master plan in preparation for the construction phase.
We will now be in a position to create an estimate for the construction of the new garden.
Building Your Garden…
Jonathan has used both in-house landscape teams and specialist contractors to build his designs and has many years’ experience in successfully managing projects utilising external tradesmen and craftsmen. Should you wish to carry out your own build with your own local landscapers then we can produce a full scope of works for companies to quote for the work.
We would obviously prefer, if not actually building the garden, to remain as the point of contact for any contractors in order that the original vision for the new garden is fully transmitted through all phases of the build.
